Pirate Pearce Posting

Found this article by Matt Bandi about Steve Pearce that I thought was very insightful. Bandi says that the reason Steve Pearce won't start the season with the Pirates is because GM Neal Huntington is trying to maintain Nady's trade value and will wait for a team in need of an experienced outfielder to come calling with a decent offer. Bandi also feels that if Pearces does well for a month or so at AAA and a trade doesn't happen then Pearce will eventually be called up and given a shot at right field. It all sounds reasonable to me.
