Dodgers Notes

This isn't exactly breaking news, but I think the Dodgers could have a solid team this year and are worth keeping an eye on. During their recent prospect mini-camp, GM Ned Colletti talked about several of the young up and coming players in their system, saying that 3B Andy Laroche would compete with Nomar Garciapara for a starting position, and Andre Ethier and Juan Pierre would like complete for the third outfield spot, with Andruw Jones and Matt Kemp as the other two starters. It doesn't look like there are plans to bring up Chin-Ling Hu in the immediate future. Rafael Furcal and Scott Elbert are both healing well, although it doesn't look like Elbert will be back to 100% in time for Spring Training. Read more...
